Role Summary

This role defines the architectural foundation for Saudi Arabia’s emerging high-performance open finance ecosystem. The Chief Systems Architect will build intelligent multi-rail financial infrastructures capable of supporting instant payments, embedded merchant solutions, regulated API frameworks, and AI-driven financial orchestration engines. Operating remotely, the architect will drive end-to-end modernization of financial connectivity across institutions, payment networks, and digitally native service providers.

The position requires domain mastery in unified payment orchestration, scalable financial microservices, digital identity intelligence, and cross-institution interoperability aligned with global financial engineering standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end open finance infrastructure incorporating API orchestration, consent governance, tokenization, and secure multi-party data exchange.

• Architect multi-rail high-velocity payments systems integrating account-to-account transfers, card tokenization, QR frameworks, and merchant settlement engines.

• Implement event-driven financial microservices optimized for scalability, high-concurrency, redundancy, and automated failover recovery.

• Design intelligent routing engines using advanced ML models for real-time fraud detection, behavioral analytics, and risk-adjusted authorization.

• Develop cross-platform identity and authentication systems using biometric mapping, device intelligence, encrypted credential frameworks, and multi-factor authentication.

• Align all system designs with KSA’s regulatory modernization requirements, ensuring continuous auditability, AML automation, and sanctions intelligence.

• Lead roadmap development for digital infrastructure evolution, system modernization, and long-term fintech ecosystem resilience.

Expertise Required

• 12+ years in payment architecture, financial infrastructure engineering, or open banking system design.

• Advanced understanding of ISO 20022, API specification frameworks, authentication protocols, and secure data engineering.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, cloud orchestration, and real-time transaction environments.

• Proven leadership in building enterprise-grade financial systems at regional or international scale.
