Role Overview
This remote executive role is designed for an individual capable of architecting Saudi Arabia’s next-generation digital payments landscape within an increasingly interconnected regional and global digital economy. The position requires deep technical command, strategic foresight, and the ability to unify multi-rail payment ecosystems across banked, semi-banked, and digital-native financial channels. The successful candidate will lead the conceptualization, modeling, and orchestration of high-throughput, high-security, multi-layer payments infrastructure aligned with the Kingdom’s broader digital-finance modernization agenda.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the blueprinting of multi-rail payments architecture, incorporating instant payments, real-time settlement, advanced clearing schemes, and intelligent routing logic.

Develop sovereign-grade transaction processing frameworks integrating anti-fraud behavioral analytics, cross-border settlement linkages, and automated liquidity optimization modules.

Implement technical and governance standards that align with evolving Saudi regulatory frameworks for open APIs, digital identity, cross-border payments, consumer data flows, and digital onboarding.

Oversee systems design incorporating ISO 20022 harmonization, tokenized payment structures, and cloud-native orchestration layers built for fault tolerance and zero-downtime operation.

Direct the creation of advanced oversight dashboards for payment flow intelligence, system utilization, anomaly detection, risk scoring, and end-to-end operational continuity.

Coordinate multi-stakeholder engagement across banks, PSPs, digital wallets, settlement agents, and regional remittance ecosystems.
Required Expertise

10+ years in digital payments engineering, deep fintech architecture, or large-scale transaction systems.

Expertise in real-time payments, interoperable settlement networks, digital wallets, and next-generation transaction-message standards.

Strong familiarity with GCC digital-finance evolution, Saudi fintech regulatory dynamics, and international standards for payments modernization.
