Position Overview
This executive role is dedicated to defining the UAE’s next-generation, globally aligned digital financial infrastructure—combining high-speed payments, secure API ecosystems, real-time authorization layers, and intelligent multi-rail transaction environments. The Chief Architect will design an integrated payment universe capable of supporting scalable merchant ecosystems, advanced risk visibility, multi-currency liquidity management, and ISO 20022-native interoperable clearing.
The successful candidate must possess deep proficiency in open finance frameworks, multi-domain orchestration, event-driven fintech architecture, and enterprise-grade cloud-native systems optimized for financial resilience, speed, and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities

Engineer a unifying architecture for instant payments, account-to-account transfers, tokenized payment credentials, digital wallets, and secure financial APIs.

Develop multi-rail transaction models incorporating intelligent routing, fraud interception layers, high-frequency analytics, and autonomous reconciliation.

Implement UAE-aligned open finance structures including API specifications, consent orchestration engines, identity assurance, and third-party access governance.

Design secure multi-tenant financial microservices optimized for low latency, failover redundancy, encrypted data flows, and continuous regulatory traceability.

Build predictive transaction intelligence systems, behavior scoring engines, and real-time fraud detection algorithms using advanced ML techniques.

Create a compliance-aware architecture integrating AML automation, sanctions screening, real-time supervisory reporting, and high-trust auditability.
Required Expertise

12+ years in digital payments, financial systems engineering, or open finance architecture.

Expert knowledge of ISO 20022 standards, PSD2-aligned API structures, digital identity frameworks, and cybersecurity protocols.

Hands-on experience with microservices, container orchestration, event streaming, and large-scale cloud deployments.

Strong understanding of financial data governance, operational resilience, and multi-institution interoperability.
