Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Planning Analyst to join our fast-growing fintech company. This role is critical for bridging the gap between financial data, market trends, and strategic business decisions. You will work closely with product, finance, and executive teams to provide actionable insights that drive growth and operational efficiency. Your deep understanding of fintech markets, regulatory landscapes, and emerging technologies will empower the company to anticipate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive business plans and financial models tailored to fintech products and services, ensuring alignment with company goals.

• Analyze transactional and customer data to identify trends, growth drivers, and potential risks impacting revenue streams and product performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, finance, compliance) to evaluate market opportunities, competitive positioning, and regulatory impacts.

• Monitor fintech industry developments including regulatory changes, technology advancements (blockchain, digital payments, lending platforms), and competitor movements to inform strategic planning.

• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and forecasts for senior leadership to support investment decisions and resource allocation.

• Lead scenario planning exercises and sensitivity analyses to stress-test business models under different market and regulatory conditions.

• Assist in the design and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to fintech products and customer segments.

• Support product launches with go-to-market analysis and post-launch performance reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, or strategy within fintech or adjacent financial services sectors (digital payments, lending, wealthtech, blockchain).

• Proven expertise in building dynamic financial models incorporating fintech-specific variables such as transaction volumes, user acquisition costs, and regulatory capital requirements.

• Strong knowledge of fintech regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2, AML/KYC requirements, consumer data protection) and their implications on business models.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar). Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and market information into clear, actionable business insights.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical and financial information for diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment requiring agility and proactive problem-solving.
