Job Overview

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant with a strong fintech background to drive data-informed decision-making across our digital financial products. This role requires fluency in interpreting complex transactional data structures, integrating data from payment gateways, fraud detection engines, and credit scoring models, and producing actionable insights for stakeholders across Product, Risk, and Growth teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain BI dashboards and reporting frameworks that track KPIs specific to fintech operations (e.g. transaction success rate, loan approval funnels, customer LTV, fraud incidence).

  • Work closely with risk analysts to design real-time fraud monitoring dashboards using data from anti-money laundering (AML) and KYC platforms.

  • Translate raw payment, disbursement, and repayment data into clear metrics for executives, product owners, and compliance teams.

  • Leverage data warehousing tools (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL pipelines to unify data from APIs, third-party integrations (e.g. Plaid, Stripe, Synapse), and internal platforms.

  • Collaborate with credit, product, and data science teams to visualize model performance (e.g. credit risk scoring models, dynamic pricing engines).

  • Ensure reporting solutions are compliant with financial regulations (e.g. PSD2, PCI DSS, GDPR) and align with internal audit requirements.

  • Propose A/B test structures for new financial products and analyze outcomes with statistical rigor.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a BI Consultant or Analyst in a fintech or financial services environment.

  • Advanced SQL expertise; ability to work with nested and semi-structured data (e.g. JSON in Redshift).

  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase, with a strong eye for UX in financial data storytelling.

  • Familiarity with fintech-specific databases and data schemas (e.g. ledger systems, transaction records, credit application data).

  • Strong understanding of digital financial products, including lending, embedded finance, P2P transfers, and virtual cards.

  • Comfortable working with API-based data sources and integrating BI tools into dynamic microservice-based ecosystems.

  • Solid grasp of data governance, particularly in relation to financial data privacy and regulatory reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with event tracking systems (e.g. Segment, Mixpanel) for product analytics in fintech.

  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. suspicious activity reports, digital transaction logs).

  • Background in economics, finance, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
