Job Overview

We’re seeking a detail-driven Brokerage Officer to support and streamline the end-to-end execution of equity and derivative trades within our fintech platform. This role is central to ensuring transactional accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination with exchanges, custodians, and internal systems. As a Brokerage Officer, you’ll be the operational backbone between our algorithmic trading front end, clearing partners, and client servicing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily trade executions across equity and derivative markets (NSE, BSE, MCX, etc.), ensuring accurate booking and settlement.

• Liaise with clearing members and custodians for real-time issue resolution during trade breaks or margin shortfalls.

• Execute trade reconciliations (T+0 and T+1) and identify root causes of discrepancies, escalating where necessary.

• Coordinate with the tech team to optimize automated trade capture, allocation, and settlement processes.

• Validate and process corporate actions (e.g., dividends, splits) and their impact on client positions.

• Perform end-of-day reporting including P&L validation, margin checks, and exposure reporting.

• Stay current with SEBI regulations, circulars, and compliance updates related to brokerage operations.

• Support onboarding of institutional clients with respect to trade operations setup, clearing links, and documentation.

• Assist in UAT testing for brokerage-related tech deployments and platform upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA/CFA/NCFM modules preferred.

• 3–6 years of direct experience in brokerage or trade operations within a fintech, broker-dealer, or clearing firm.

• Strong knowledge of Indian capital markets, exchange mechanisms, and SEBI/NSDL/CDSL operational guidelines.

• Experience working with OMS/EMS platforms (e.g., Refinitiv, Neat, Omnesys) and reconciliation tools.

• Familiarity with FIX protocols, trade APIs, and STP processes is highly desirable.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and automation.

• Comfortable in a high-pressure environment with aggressive timelines and real-time decision-making.

Preferred Skills:

• SQL or Excel VBA for trade data manipulation and reconciliation reports.

• Exposure to blockchain-based settlement systems or alternative asset trading platforms.

• Ability to work across product teams (product managers, developers, compliance) to fine-tune trade flow pipelines.
