About the Role
We’re seeking an App Experience Manager who deeply understands the high-stakes nature of digital financial interactions. You won’t just be optimizing UI – you’ll be accountable for reducing transactional friction, driving trust through design, and aligning every in-app decision with regulatory realities and financial behavior patterns. You’ll be embedded in a multidisciplinary team spanning product, compliance, data science, and customer operations, ensuring our mobile experiences convert, retain, and scale responsibly.
Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end experience strategy for our iOS and Android apps, from onboarding flows to authenticated in-session interactions (e.g., payments, KYC updates, portfolio tracking).

Develop a quantitative understanding of customer drop-off points, time-to-complete for core flows (e.g., ACH linking, loan application submission), and app-triggered support tickets.

Translate insights into productized UX improvements—such as contextual microcopy for error states in credit decisioning or biometric fallback logic in session timeout scenarios.

Partner with Compliance to ensure app interactions are FINRA-, FDIC-, and CFPB-compliant without sacrificing usability or clarity.

Define in-app experimentation frameworks to measure the impact of friction changes (e.g., requiring manual ID upload vs. auto-capture) on downstream metrics like approval rates and LTV.

Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize customer research, legal constraints, and performance bottlenecks into prioritized experience improvements.

Champion accessibility and inclusive design, especially for underserved demographics accessing financial products via mobile as their primary channel.
Required Qualifications

5+ years of product or experience management in fintech, banking, or embedded finance (B2C or B2B2C).

Demonstrated ability to work with data science teams to define behavioral cohorts, segment churn risk factors, and deploy A/B tests on mobile.

Experience improving mobile workflows involving sensitive financial actions (e.g., fund transfers, credit assessments, crypto transactions).

Familiarity with mobile app compliance standards including multi-factor authentication, transaction disclosures, and consumer consent mechanisms.

Proven ability to write experience briefs with UX writing guidance, error handling conditions, and KPIs for engineering handoff.
Nice to Have

Experience with tools like FullStory, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Appcues, and feature flag platforms like LaunchDarkly or Firebase.

Prior involvement in launching personal finance, lending, or neobank apps.

Understanding of dark patterns and how to avoid them in financial contexts.
