Job Overview

About the Role:

We’re looking for an Analytics & Reporting Lead to drive performance insights and reporting strategy in a high-growth fintech environment. This is not a templated dashboard role — we need someone who can connect data to financial mechanisms, challenge assumptions, and provide clarity in the face of complex, high-velocity transactional data. You’ll work closely with product, credit risk, growth, and finance to deliver real-time insights that directly influence underwriting models, unit economics, and revenue expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the analytics architecture for credit, payments, and product performance metrics — from ingestion through to self-serve reporting and executive dashboards.

  • Develop reporting frameworks for investor updates, regulatory submissions (e.g., FCA, MAS), and board-level financial transparency.

  • Build and maintain a single source of truth for customer LTV, CAC payback, NPL ratios, churn, and conversion funnels across multiple business lines.

  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure data pipeline integrity, latency thresholds, and versioning for metrics that feed into underwriting decisions and automated interventions.

  • Design anomaly detection systems to flag outliers in real-time for operational metrics such as failed payments, transaction declines, or suspicious velocity.

  • Enable experimentation frameworks (A/B and multivariate) for growth and product teams — and ensure outcomes are rigorously measured against lagged performance indicators, not just top-of-funnel metrics.

  • Lead a small team of analysts and support the evolution toward scalable data products and embedded analytics.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in analytics, with at least 2 years in fintech (lending, payments, BNPL, wealthtech, or neobank experience preferred).

  • Deep understanding of key fintech metrics: cohort-based LTV, risk-adjusted return, credit utilization, default probability, and transaction velocity.

  • Advanced SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R); experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools is a plus.

  • Proven experience building reporting layers over raw financial event data (ledger systems, Stripe, Marqeta, etc.).

  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards in fintech, especially for credit products.

  • Experience working with modern BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Mode, or similar) — not just building dashboards, but enabling others to self-serve responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to statistical modeling, especially for risk segmentation or churn prediction.

  • Experience supporting product teams with in-app analytics, including event instrumentation and conversion analysis.

  • Comfort operating in environments with messy, incomplete, or ambiguous data — and the ability to turn that into clean, high-leverage reporting outputs.
